Hey John,
I've been using Commentluv over on my blog for a little while now and although it's just a new blog and not much commenting going on, using Commentluv is a great way to add incentive. I'm also now seeking out other blogs such as this one where I can leave Commentluv enabled posts.
It's surprising though how many people don't use Commentluv,- I think there's a bit of a misconception out there that most blogs are trackback enabled as stock standard but these days that's becoming less and less frequent.
Cheers. Russ

Hi John,

Great stuff here on your website. I just signed up for CommentLuv. I understand that you're moving it to a new server. I can hardly wait so that I can get to the good stuff.

I'm looking forward to the updates!

@Nickolas, @Ina, @Jim: Thanks for your comments.

As you can see, so far this seems to be working pretty well. I've gotten more than my fair share of comments on this thread (I don't claim to come close to some of the top blogs out there, of course).

We'll see if this trend continues with other articles I post, but many of the plugins and new strategies I've tried have definitely made a major traffic impact for my blog.

Ill be writing about some of those coming up, including which ones are working the best for me, and which ones--not so much.

Cheers!

Thanks John for the clearest most succinct explanation of this tool I've seen. I've seen it on other blogs, but wasn't comfortable installing it on my blog until I read your post.

Thanks again!

Haven't checked out all the extra features yet on the Tweetmeme site yet, but I do know one of them is the ability to choose from your last 10 blog posts or so instead of automatically just posting a link to the last blog post.

But in doing so, they put a drop-down box that draws visitors to their site. I removed that, because I try to minimize link leakage as much as possible, except where the value to visitors exceed the value of removing the link(s).

Glad to see some of you are experimenting with this plugin. So far I've gotten fairly positive feedback on it.

Love this plugin! I just put it on my site recently and it works great. Seems to encourage people to leave thoughtful posts rather than just one-liners.
