Birthing Pains?

just launched his new blog, and for his first post, he’s released an eagerly anticipated report entitled, The Rebirth of Internet Marketing.

Now those of you who know me and my work know that there are some smart marketers I tend to watch very closely, and John Reese is definitely one of them. Unlike the majority out there, John actually conducts real-world tests, and (get this)…really acts on what he learns from them.

I know that sounds like no big deal, but you’d be surprised at how many marketers DO NOT conduct any testing at all, and when they do, they smile and say, “that’s nice,” and move onto other things.

Online businesses are always scrambling to find ways to increase their sales and , and if they would just test some different headlines from time-to-time, they’d discover one of the easiest and fastest ways to potentially . It’s downright ridiculous how easy it is, actually.

But unfortunately too many people think testing has to be more complicated than it really is.

It certainly CAN be complex. Reese is one of the few who lives and dies by testing. Michel Fortin is another fanatical tester. And there are many more, but too bad they are in the extreme minority.

Speaking of Michel Fortin, perhaps you’ve read some of the articles I’ve authored on his Copywriter’s Blog. Lately I’ve been talking and writing a lot about where online marketing and the Internet is headed, and like John, I’ve been online in various forms since the early eighties as well. Mostly from a techie perspective in those days, rather than a marketing one, but knowing how these things work does have its advantages.

So back to John…

I recommend you grab his report and read it a few times, and let the information sink in. Because a lot of smart people have already figured this stuff out, and it won’t be long before John’s predictions become more apparent (because the trends he mentions have been developing for some time now).

It’s kind of funny, actually, because much of my Copywriter’s Toolkit is about taking time-tested direct response tactics and adapting them to some of the very changes John is talking about. I swear I had no idea his report would cover some of these topics, but the fact that they do only confirms what a lot of top marketers have learned and have been keeping to themselves…until now, that is.

Now that John’s let the entire community know what’s in store for them all, it won’t take long before there’s a fundamental change in attitudes. These changes will redefine everything from the products we see for sale, to the way they are marketed and delivered.

Perhaps you’ve heard the old story about Warren Buffet. How when he heard the man on the street giving him a stock tip, it was time to sell that stock.

Well, the man on the street just got a HUGE tip. And the Warren Buffets of marketing are getting ready to sell their old ways.

Ah, doesn’t change keep life interesting? The birthing pains are just around the corner…

I am interested in distributing some of your ebooks along with my new ebook on How to become an Appraiser. I was specifically looking for online and offline marketing techniques, website building, seo, etc… I really liked your book Powerful Offline Marketing.

Could I get a number of your ebooks along with your permission to include with my ebook? I would greatly appreciate it and will note your resources throughout my ebook as well.
