A Sneak Peek at The Copywriter’s Toolkit 2.0
The Copywriter’s Toolkit, one of my longest-running and most successful products to date, is on target for a complete makeover.
In version 2.0, dubbed the Conversion Toolkit, there’s updated content and resources for sure.
All the copywriting resources, videos, audio, PDFs, tools, and more from version 1 will all be updated for 2010-2011. Newer tools and web sites are popping up all the time, and version 2.0 will include many of the new offerings.
But that by itself isn’t what makes this upgrade so significant and special.
What really makes it shine is its shift in focus. That is, how much more inclusive of what it takes to produce online or offline campaigns that really boost response and profits. More than just sales copy, this version introduces marketing campaign strategies and tactics, the secrets behind successful offers, reverse-engineering successful promotions, and so much more.
In fact, its bigger and grander focus is why it’s been renamed as the Conversion Toolkit 2.0.
There’s also another big plus.
It’s going to be available on DVDs and CDs shipped right to your door.
Sure, you’ll still be able to access everything on the website, but for some of the content, I wanted a more intimate and pleasurable learning experience, one that’s better suited for viewing on your TV in your living room. Or listening in your car. Or your iPod or portable player. You get the idea.
That’s the Conversion Toolkit.
There will also be another component to version 2.0: The Conversion DNA.
That package will contain more in-depth copywriting and conversion training, real-life case studies, testing results, and more all designed to reveal how all the individual components of a successful campaign fit together for maximum success and profits.
Those components make up the “DNA” part of the equation.
I have a lot of very successful copywriters and marketers helping me with really piling on the value here.
So to give you a sneak peek at what lies ahead, I’ve included 30 minutes of the first DVD of the Conversion Toolkit below.
Remember that all Copywriter’s Toolkit members will have the option to get automatically upgraded to the new shipped version when it’s released for just pennies on the dollar (basically to cover shipping and handling costs), so locking in your access now is the best way to avoid shelling out a few hundred bucks later on when it comes out in a couple months.
If you’re a member, you’re not obligated to upgrade. You’ll just have the option when it’s released.
But first, here’s the preview video of just some of what’s to come. It’s not final, as there’s editing and additional cool stuff going into the mix as I’m writing this. But it should give you a pretty good idea of at least a portion of what’s to come.

Copywriters Toolkit V2 looks promising.
I’m sure that you’re well aware of the current buzz about marketing to and for offline businesses. I’d appreciate it if you’d include copywriting info that would help reach and serve offline businesses.
You asked for what I wanted to see in the new version.
I found your last version totally useless for the following reason.
Out in my garage I have a big three-tier toolbox. I can do most handyman jobs with it. However, if I handed it to a five-year-old boy, with no guidance about how to use it, he would just injure himself.
That’s how I felt about your no-doubt excellent toolbox – it was no use to me whatsoever without coaching on how to do copy writing. I would like to see 1-2-3 step-by-step instructions about how to do copy writing in the new version.

There’s a lot in the current version that includes copywriting in the offline world. Videos 1, 2, 9, 10, and 12 all contain a lot of offline copywriting examples and resources. Also checkout the Offline Gold and Offline Gold Synergy podcasts in the Audio section. But I agree there could be more, and I’ll definitely have you covered in version 2, especially in the Conversion DNA materials.

I’m very sorry version 1 wasn’t helpful to you. While I never intended it (nor claimed it) to be a complete copywriting course, there are a lot of resources in it that do tell you where to find the kind of instruction you’re looking for. Check out video 9 for some, and many of the external resources in the menu along the left.
Also check out some of the excellent audio and podcasts, like the one I did with David Garfinkel, Michel Fortin, the one from Carl Galletti on Copywriting for the Net, and a few others.
Plus…such sites I point out, like Gary Bencivenga’s bullets, the Gary Halbert Letter, and others do give solid copywriting tips and instruction, but I agree with you that there isn’t step-by-step copywriting instruction within the toolkit itself.
But rest assured I do plan to include exactly that as part of the Conversion DNA package as well.
Think of the Conversion Toolkit as an updated and expanded version of the existing Copywriter’s Toolkit, with more content for beginners and more advanced copywriters and marketers alike.
The Conversion DNA, on the other hand, is more of a copywriting and conversion step-by-step guide, showing you how to craft all the various components that make up a successful salesletter (and email, offline package, radio and TV, etc.).
That part of the system will contain sections that apply to both online and offline, and there will be content that’s specifically unique to each as well.
I think one of the biggest challenges for me in putting together the original toolkit was organizing the sheer volume of it all, making it admittedly “less than perfect” in finding certain topics at times.
So while the new DVDs and other materials will be designed to better streamline all the material and make it easier to find and access, I’ll also be overhauling the website as well for all members — version 1 and 2 — to make it better.
But as always, if you’re looking for something in particular that you can’t seem to find in the toolkit, please don’t hesitate to contact me and ask me.

The things that I most like to see in the V2 is copywriting for offline local business. It will be even better if you can break it into copy writing for offline business using different offline media (postcard, craiglist, newspaper ads, flyers, etc).
As to expand on the content for online copywriting, can you also expand on copywriting for video and social medias (twitter – 140 characters, facebook, etc).

then give tantalizing tidbits of info so
your viewers want to delve deeper.
It’s as if you’re giving your viewers 6 keys
to 6 treasure chests, and saying, “I’ve given
you the keys and showed you the labels on the
treasure chests — now you go and open them,
and grow rich from the wealth you’ll find in
each.”
Also thought your backing music complemented
the video content.

for years, and it’s greatly enhanced my
