For those who've gone to one marketing event and felt they didn't get anything out of it, keep in mind that just showing up really counts. As you meet the movers and shakers in the business over a number of events, you make an impression and people begin to remember you. That's when the opportunity for deals begins to happen.

I talked with Brian Edmonson at the Glazer-Kennedy Inner Circle Philly Chapter meeting on Wednesday and he pretty much confirmed this strategy as helping him build a network of JV partners and grow his business.
